About TCO Radon & Custom Metalwork

If you're looking for safe and affordable radon mitigation in the tri-state area, I'm your guy. This is my story.

Taken Care Of

Hi there! I’m Bill Bodish, owner of TCO Radon & Custom Metalwork. I’ve been helping home and business owners take care of their properties since 2012. TCO stands for “Taken Care Of,” and that’s how I approach my work. Whether I’m mitigating radon in a school building or fabricating a custom metal railing for my neighbor’s home, I’ll make sure you’re taken care of and that the job’s done right.

Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to see a lot of homes, meet many interesting people, and help them through all kinds of different situations. What I enjoy most about the work is solving problems and improving someone’s home, business, or quality of life.

Qualified, Experienced, and Fully Insured

I am licensed for both testing and mitigation through the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP), which is highly recommended by the Iowa Department of Health and Human Services. I am also a professional member of the American Association of Radon Scientists and Technologists (AARST). I work with state, municipal, HUD, healthy homes, and family housing programs to stay up-to-date with continuing education, industry standards, and best practices.

I’m also a licensed and fully insured contractor in Iowa, bringing decades of hands-on experience to every project I work on. TCO Radon & Custom Metalwork is fully insured, and we're proud to offer a 5% veteran discount and a 5-year warranty on all of our work.

A Lifetime of Making Things Work

I’ve been working with metal for over 40 years. I grew up in a working class family with eight brothers and sisters. Buying something new wasn’t always an option for us. A lot of times, if we wanted something, we made it or fixed it up ourselves. My dad taught us to work with metal in his garage, where we used to rebuild motorcycles.

Looking at what you have, figuring out how it works, and finding a way to make it work is a real skill. That practical and creative mindset eventually led me into custom fabrication, where every project gives me a different problem to solve and a solution to build with my own two hands.

Back in 2012, I had the opportunity to take over an existing radon business. I decided to go for it. Since then, I’ve grown the business substantially and expanded my service offerings.

Radon mitigation and custom fabrication might seem like very different lines of work. But if you ask me, they have a lot in common. Both jobs are about listening to someone’s needs, figuring out what will work, and getting everything taken care of!

Giving Back to Veterans

I served in the U.S. Marine Corps, and I offer a 5% veteran discount on all services. Having served myself, I recognize the sacrifices other veterans have made. This is my way of giving a little bit back. If you’re a veteran, let me know when you get in touch.

Peace of Mind: the TCO Guarantee

Taking care of people means listening carefully, doing the work right, and standing behind it. We offer a 5 year warranty on everything we do. If something isn’t right, we will come back and make it right.
